In today's world of work, industrial safety helmets must protect against one or more possible hazardsefahreand accident risks, depending on the area of use. First and foremost is protection against the effects of force, but also protection against chemicals and heat as well as against Wittedirt and dirt are important safety aspects for a helmet. According to EC Directive 89/686/EU, protective helmets are part of personal protective equipment. Due to the importance of the human head and its accident risk, they are an extremely important, necessary and often prescribed protective instrument.
Helmet tests: The test regulations for industrial helmets are regulated in EN 397 and focus primarily on impact forces and on the head are decisively reduced and the penetration of pointed objects up to the head is prevented. In addition to the material used, the helmet shells offered are also of safety relevance for the wearer. In order to provide the helmet wearer with the best possible wearing characteristics, manufacturers offer up to 3 helmet shell sizes: Size 1: usually covers the head size range from 52 - 56 cm. Size 2: the range from 53 cm - 61 cm . Size 3: the head sizes from 59 cm - 63 cm.
